I'm from Mexico and as I don't need a visa (only eTA) to travel by land to Canada, on January 20th 2023, I went to the border crossing (Point Roberts) to do a flagpole (I was already in Canada when the LMIA approval letter arrived to my company), when I arrived to the Canadian border office they told me to come back in 1 week but they kept all my documents.
On January 27th 2023, I got my Work Permit approved (LMIA) after the interview and my biometrics.
To be honest I never asked about my eTA, as far as I have read, all work permits and all study permits come with an eTA issued automatically when they get approved.
https://ircc.canada.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1052&top=16 , of course, I didn't know that at that time.
I applied for an eTA on December 28th and so far I have no answer. I sent several web forms asking about my eTA situation but no answer yet.

So, my question is...
Did I get an eTA linked to my passport when I got my Work permit approved doing the flagpole?
I've tried to find information on the matter but no luck so far.

Any information, suggestions are welcome!
