Wind Turbine Techs in BC ?

Hello everyone

I am a U.K citizen with full Canadian citizenship i will be emmigarting to canada July 17.

I have been working on Gamesa,siemans turbines for 2 years and have 7 years engineering experince in the Royal Navy plus all have my GWO certs.

Trying to get a better perspective on the wind industry canada and what potential employers are looking for?


Is there any guys or girls in the wind inductry that can give me advice about applying this side of the pond or is best to wait till im in canda before i start to apply?

Getting any job offer from outside Canada is always very difficult and some would say almost impossible as companies usually prefer someone to be immediately available. Looking at this link wind farms do not seem to be that common in BC https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wind_farms_in_Canada
