My XXX had completed his intermediate/high school in 2000. He secured 62% marks. i.e B grade. He is 29 years old.

His IELTS score is 7.0.

He has 9 years of work experience related to computer field.

He wants to do Bachelors in Computer Science, from a Canadian University. He needs to have a degree if he wants to move forward in his line of work.

No SAT/ACT scores required by universities. He has not taken them yet and he is not interested in taking them.

Can you suggest a list of universities which are likely to accept him into a full 4 year program in Computer Science on the basis of his profile?

He wants to apply for atleast 3 universities but wants to get a admisison from atleast one university for 100%.

Money is no problem.

Plenty of Unit that offers BS in Comp Science. It can be from BC to Ontario to Nova Scotia man!

All depends on how competitive his grades are to enter. He can try 1 or 2 competitive unis to apply and 2 or 1 other less competitive ones to apply.

Good and reasonable fees unis are: Uni of Alberta, Uni of Calgary, Uni of Sk, Uni of Regina, Uni of Mantioba, Macmaster Uni, Uni of Waterloo (BEST of all, and considered MIT of canada), McGill Uni, and plenty more. Most unis in canada offer programs in Comp Sc. So go to the respective websites and check out the cost and the details of the requirement and program.

He wants to study either in Toronto and Montreal. That is his first preference. However, If he has a great chance of admitting into a decent university somewhere else in Canada then only choosing a university in Toronto or Montreal is no issue. Anyways, he wants to study in big cities. He would like to apply for Jan 2011 intake. From a visa point of view, he wants to be admitted into a decent university atleast VO can recognize it. He has sent emails to various universities for international addmission details. For e.g:

1. Simon Fraser University
2. Trent University
3. University of Guelph
4. Dalhousie University
5. University of Waterloo
6. University of Brunswick
7. University of Western Ontario
8. Carleton University
9. University of Regina
10.University of Alberta

Out of these universities, he thinks only Unversity of Brunswick, Univ of Carleton, Simon Fraser University or perhaps university of Guelph might admit him.
He has no chnace for top universities like U of T, Concordia, Macgill, Macmaster, York.

Just give your honest feedback, which 4 universities are decent ones out of this list. he cant send applications for all universities listed. he has to apply only for 4. he did not secure A grade(70+%) or A-1(80+%) grades . he scored 62% that is B grade.

If he wants to study only in Ontario or Quebec, then UT is a tough and very competitve one, hard to get into. Also be warned that most unis do not admit International students for the winter intake, which is Jan 2011, most will admit only for fall, so better check the unis respectively for accurate intake information.

The decent better branded unis are :

1) Uni of Alberta
2) SFU
3) Uni waterloo
4) UWO

Internationally are the above. But if he plans to work in canada after that, it doesnt really matter which uni he goes to. Canadian unis are basically the same if u have work experience before. Best for comp sc is U Waterloo and most difficult to get in.

The easier to get into ones are:

Trent uni
Uni Brunswick
Carleton uni
Uni of Guelph
