what is a national identity document for someone is the USA?

    Thanks

  2. Could be your passport if you are the citizen..

Can be your valid driving license from any state of the USA..

Any of your valid photo ID with the ID number, your photo and address on it provided by the Government can work..

  3. From Wikipedia: "An identity document (also called a piece of identification or ID, or colloquially as one's '"papers"') is any document which may be used to verify aspects of a person's personal identity. If issued in the form of a small, mostly standard-sized card, it is usually called an identity card (IC). In some countries the possession of a government-produced identity card is compulsory while in others it may be voluntary. In countries which do not have formal identity documents, informal ones may in some circumstances be required.
In the absence of a formal identity document, some countries accept driving licences as the most effective method of proof of identity. Most countries accept passports as a form of identification."

For the U.S. : a Passport, a Passport Card or a Driver's License are valid. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Identity_document#United_States for more.

  4. Hi

US Citizens don't have Identity cards, you just put N/A.

  5. The Identity card issued by Malaysia hasn't got an expiry date so basically it expires when we expire! But my Driver's license has expired in March 2011. The new Generic form refuses to Validate it stating that I cannot use an expired ID. Please help. What should I do

  6. sorry to bump up this topic, I'm having the same question, I'm from mexico and Im just wondering which document to add, since we have an electoral card, a population number, and passport, just wondering if the passport is always valid for any country??

  7. My husband is using his electoral card because there is space for his passport information and the national identity document.
