what form to use for spousal open work permit

Hi there everyone!

I have just been issued a temporary work permit (to work as a graduate nurse in Canada) and I would like to hopefully have my husband follow me to Canada in 2-3 months time. I should have stated from the start that he will be accompanying me there in Canada. But I didn't . So now I am wondering what form I should use so that we could have his visa processed ASAP.

I am pregnant and him being there with me soon will be of great help. WHat points do I need to stress in my cover letter?

Any response from you guys will be highly appreciated. Thanks a bunch in advance!

I think the form is IMM 1249. You can read the guide by accessing www.cic.gc.ca then click working temporarily and try frequently asked questions and you will see under work permits FAQ if a spouse/common law/dependent children can work in canada.

Regarding your problem, correction please!!!.. the form is IMM 1295 for working permit.
www.cic.gc.ca (temporary work permit/accompanying husband).
