Hi folks,

Inland CEC applicant got AOR in April 2021, has passed all except the security. The security was concluded at CSIS in March 2022 and at CBSA in April 2023 since July 2021, after I filed a Mandamus in March 2023. Then, the application was tranfered to HM Montreal for security review and the security was marked with Ready to be Assessed. The current processing time for CEC is only 4 months, but my case has passed over 2 year. Extremely frustrated.
Does anyboy know how long the security review takes after such a long security screening?
Appreciate it.

The duration of security screening can vary significantly depending on individual circumstances, and there is no fixed timeframe for how long it may take. Each security review is unique and involves various factors such as the complexity of the case, the information gathered, and the workload of the relevant security agencies.

While the current processing time for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is generally stated to be around 4 months, certain cases may experience delays due to additional security checks. Unfortunately, it is difficult to determine exactly how long the security review will take in your specific situation. The involvement of CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) and CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency) suggests that your case may involve more thorough scrutiny. WyndhamRewards

It is understandable that the prolonged processing time and security screening can be frustrating. To seek more information and updates on your application, it is advisable to contact the appropriate immigration authorities, such as the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and inquire about the status of your application. They should be able to provide you with more specific details regarding your case.
