Want to enter Canada using travel doc but without primary applicant

I want to enter Canada after applying for the Travel Document (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/travel.asp).

My question is: if I get the travel document and want to enter Canada, can I enter alone or will my wife (primary applicant) need to come along with me?

We landed in Edmonton in October 2011 as part of the landing procedure for the AINP program, with my wife being the principal applicant. After landing, we left the country in couple of days. Using our family friends address, we applied for our PR cards, however only my wife got it. My application including my daughters was returned back because the photo was not in the correct format.

Now I want to enter Canada after applying for the Travel Document (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/travel.asp).

My question is: if I get the travel document and want to enter Canada, can I enter alone or will my wife (primary applicant) need to come along with me?
