Us deported with no criminal background, Can i apply for a canada Visa?

Hi...
I lived in Us for over 20 years i got deorted, but i have no criminal record what so ever, now most of my family is in canada, I want to apply for a Visa but i'm affraid that if i say i'm deported they will deny it.... what can i do, I'm really desperate to see my family..please anyone help.

I'm assuming you were deported because you were out of status? If that's the case, I'd say the odds are unfortunately against you being approved for a visitor visa for Canada, as they might view you as being a high risk for overstaying. I would not recommend lying on your application either, as Canada and the US do share information and you could get found out. If you do decide to apply, you need to build a very strong case as to why you would return to your country after your visit.
