Hi,
My sister has an open work permit expiring in Feb 2025 (issued until the expiry date of her old passport). She wants to work as a childcare provider. At the same time, she has obtained a new passport and wants to apply for a new work permit so that the expiry of her work permit gets extended. She has already done the medical tests with an IRCC approved doctor. How should we proceed with her applications? should we submit two separate applications? one to change the condition of the old work permit, and another one to get a new work permit?

thanks for your help.

All she needs is the new passport and to extend her OWPz. She has over a year left on her OWP so the would be no reason to apply for another WP. With a valid medical she can contact IRCC to remove the conditions.
