Hi, i recently moved to canada, my spousal pr application is ongoing. I currently have had an OWP for 3 months and i have been working since.

My employer pays me a cheque of $3000 monthly without deducting any amount for taxes and he has told me i am responsible for my own taxes.

My question is how will i go about paying taxes on this income?

How will i file my income for 2016? Am i considered self employed?

How much taxes should i expect to pay when April comes?

And what percentage of your income is usually taken for taxes in Alberta?

If the taxes were being taken out on a monthly basis by my employer how much would i be earning?

Please answer, im not able to solve this dilemma of mine and i hope i dont have to pay an extreme amount of taxes.
