For the SuperVisa Letter of invitation, the guidelines state that a written and signed promise of the financial support for your parents should be included.

Should this pledge be in a statement within the invitation letter itself, or should it be provided separately?

I would include the statement in the letter as the document is signed (or should be) at the bottom.
