one thing that bothers me. I was reading blogs and articles on some websites. It says that if my sponsor got his PR thru sponsorship as well, he has to wait 5 years before he can sponsor me as his wife. Does it still apply?

Report

Yes it still apply .

I mean it was his dad who sponsored him.

Hi there,
I have not received a reply from anyone, so I am posting this again.
I have sent an application to sponsor my wife from Iraq on Feb 16 2017 and it was received by CIC according to Canada Post.
What are the next steps? How long till we receive an AOR?
Thank you

Hi All,

This may be a repeated question, but I am new to this thread, I have most of the data points and thanks to all for sharing the information.

I do have one question, what is the time line for Open work permit if spousal PR is applied in-land from within Canada, does it follow normal 97 days time line or longer than that.

Thanks in advance.

Habibi, it might take up to 20 days now after the "received date"

does he have a current visa for NZ that is currently good for at least 12 months? if not, then the application will be processed based on his Indian citizenship. if he doesn't have a current visa for NZ and doesn't plan to be there for the duration of the application processing, then there's no reason for IRCC to process his application through NZ. Past visas have no bearing on application processing.

Hi guys, my husband and I are wondering if we were wrong to submit the medicals I used for a refused CIC study permit last year for our spousal application. My visa office is very slow, they haven't acknowledged my medicals yet but they don't do that with a lot of applicants as well and mostly update eCAs or myCIC after the decision has been made. So I'm just worried that even though the medicals are still valid till April, it may not be the same type of tests and we might just end up prolonging the wait. Who has heard about any similar case?

Hello guys, urgent question, I'm planning to land tonight at the border of Canada /USA, At the time of landing I want to change my mailing address for the PR card to be delivered to my home address instead of my representative office, would this delay the processing time for the PR card to arrive?
Thank you for all ur help! Please let me know ASAP!

I thought the doctor sent the medicals, how could you have sent them? The only thing you can send with the application is the medicals receipt. Is that what you sent? The old medicals receipt? If so, processing time is about 16 months and therefore you may be asked to undergo another medical examination (full or partial).

Yes, I mean the copy given by the hospital listing the tests you did and stating that they have been completed.
Thanks for your input.

Hi Guys, Please help me with Supplementary Travels info form.

I am sponsoring my wife and she is filling her and mine last 10 years travels out of country. Now, I moved to canada in 2015 as a PR. What should she fill here for Immigration to Canada or should she just start from the time that I moved in Canada. Do we need to consider my travels from India too?

Did anyone has the same issues? Please help.

Guys a quick question, if I'm to send the VO the Schedule A form by normal mail instead of uploading it, does my spouse need to sign it with black ink on top of the digital signature? how should I do it?
