My husband landed in toronto march 2014 and stayed there for 3 weeks due to a job offer he had been waiting for. Now its been almost 1 year since he landed and we want to officially move and settle in canada. Will border control and immigration know hes been outside canada for a year?? What questions may be asked when he lands next time?

He is still in compliance with the residency obligation requirements, so there is nothing to worry about. If asked, just tell them what they want to know.
