Request extension for document submission

Hey folks

I was wondering if it is possible to contact IRCC and request an extension for the submission of further documents. I was asked to submit a RCMP Criminal Record Check with fingerprints. Im happy to do so, since I´m currently in Germany this whole process could very well eat up to two months. Im going to Canada in mid May and would try to get my Record Check then. Now IRCC has asked me to submit this document within the next 30 days. An extension for another 30 days would absolutely help me with that.

Is it possible to ask IRCC for extensions? If so, where can we make that claim? Anyone else experienced something similar?

Search for a 3rd party agency to help you with the RCMP PCC , it will only take one week to receive if you have no record. If you request it from a police station or submit ink fingerprints if can take over 120 days to receive your results.

yes, it is possible to ask for an extension. whether it is approved is up to IRCC.

Submit a note via Case Specific Enquiry: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx . Explain that your situation. You will send it when it's available. I have not heard of them denying a request like that. But as said, it's up to them if they want to accept it.

If it makes you feel any better, we did request an extension once. Wasn't needed. We applied based on mis-information. However, they granted it.
