We are Canada PR since 2012 and went first time in Sept 2012 to complete the landing formalities and stayed one day and returned back to United States. Since then didn't go again to Canada in April. We have received our PR cards.

Just planning to go Canada in April for one week and see how the opportunists there and will return back. We will drive to Vancouver, BC (by car).

Question:

1. We are not traveled almost more than 2 years and it should see any problem at border crossing into Canada ?
2. Will they verify how we are going to stay in the Canada ?
3. Is there any precautions should be we take during the border crossing ?
4. Planning to apply SIN card during our visit, is that OK ?

Please share knowledge and suggest me.

Same as responses given by canuck_in_uk, but would add that of course all travelers (including returning citizens) can be asked a range of questions, including questions about where they live or work.

But there should be nothing at all to worry about.

Anyone can be referred to Secondary for some additional questioning. That is nothing at all to be concerned about, so if there is a referral to Secondary and an officer asks additional questions, just answer them truthfully. Given your residence outside Canada an officer might ask more about this, or about your plans. Again, nothing to worry about. Even if you do not have actual plans to come to Canada to live soon, just answer the questions truthfully, as simply as practical, no need to offer explanation or to elaborate. An officer might remind you about the PR Residency Obligation, and while this might seem like an admonition to you, it will really be just to be sure you are aware of it.

Mostly relax and enjoy the visit, and hopefully you find what you are looking for. Canada is not for everyone but it checks off a lot of the boxes for many of us.
