Have you requested a Travel History record via an ATIP for determining travel dates from/to Canada for your PRC renewal? If so, did it include EXIT data from Canada (after 2019/2020)?

The Beyond the Border Action Plan (Phase 4 and 5) (3 and 4) was to track exits from Canada for all persons, including Canadian and U.S. citizens, via land in Feb, 2019 and by air in June, 2020. Phase 3 and 4 were because of Bill C-21 (an Act to amend the Customs Act) that enabled this information to be recorded, or otherwise obtained, by CBSA. However, according to a CBSA Officer (NOT a person answering a phone in a CBSA Call Centre), this is not happening, at least not as yet (as of 16 Jun 2022), but...it looks like it is. Maybe? Did you see this on your travel history?

"Bill C-21, An Act to amend the Customs Act, which received Royal Assent on December 13, 2018, provided the CBSA with the authority to collect exit information on all travellers who leave Canada. The legislative authorities of Bill C-21 and the corresponding Exit Information Regulations were in place as of summer 2019."

The CBSA began to collect exit information on all travellers, including Canadian and U.S. citizens, at the land border through a seamless electronic exchange of biographic entry information with the U.S. Canada and the U.S. exchange the following pieces of basic information (similar to what is found on a passport):

The following seems to confirm that air carriers are complying as of 25 Jun 2020:

Further, there's uncertainty that if a renewed U.S. passport was issued AFTER the PR card was issued, connects to the PR Card in their system. It's certainly plausible, at first glance, since unlike a DL, a renewed passport does NOT have the same number. The CBSA OFFICER mentioned this when I said that I had renewed my passport when there was 4 years remaining on my card's validity. This seems to imply that it is a NEW passport, even though it's a renewal of the previous one. Having said that, surely they can see that a U.S. citizen/Canadian PR, even with two separate passport numbers are in fact the same person connected to their PR documents?

Curious to hear about your experience with the ATIP report, especially if received after June 2020, since it appears that it should be included with ATIP Travel History requests.
