My friend recently got SINP and still has his PGWP valid for 2 more years. I know most they don't apply for closed work permit in this scenario as it saves complaince fee for the employer and also application fee for a new work permit and I gave him the same advice.
But question he has is: If he does file for close work permit on basis of his Nomination, is there a rule by CIC that you or your employer cannot file for close work permit. In short, will the close work permit be rejected owing to his valid pgwp.
Just can't find any reason one can't file for close work permit even if pgwp is valid.
