Question about online application for Temporary work permit

Dear forum members I am new to this section of the forum.
I have positive LMO and signed job offer for permanent job from employer in Canada.
I want to apply for temporary work visa and also for temporary resident visa for my spouse and dependent child.

I found out that this is the list of documents I have to fill and send to local visa processing facility:

Vienna Austria is the local visa office for my county. On their website

It states that I can apply online here http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/getting-started.asp
Does anyone have experience with online application?
After I apply online, do I need to send application on paper?
All the documents, I need to fill than scan and attach to my online application?
In the application forms because I am applying also for temporary resident visa it says that I need to send the original copy of my passport. How would this be possible with the online application?
What about the copies of documents, I have to scan them and sent online? Will they be legal then.

I know I have a lot of questions, but my LMO is valid till 31 December, and my job offer till 31 December so I need to apply really fast. If I apply in the beginning of December, do I need to ask my employer for new job offer with dates somewhere in Apr/May 2014 because the current job offer is valid till 31 December 2013. Would that have impact on the decision?

HI Noobmoon...Just ignoring your question about LMO...i am unaware...
replying your query about online application..
When u submit online application you need to:

1) Scan all the documents, Make a single pdf & upload it. Its simple and believe me .pdf is an awesome compressor. It has capability of compressing 20MB word document to 3-4MB .pdf

2) Everything is digital in nature. So no manual signatures are required. You can upload as many document as you send through paper application

3) Passport need not be send. But you will have to add your passport scan copy and previous visas/Transit visas of any country (if traveled before).

4) After applying online no need to send paper application (Whats the point of applying online then )

5) The process is that you need to fill in questionaires on cic website and finally you will given the page where they mention checklist with the required documents. Just fill them, upload them, digitally sign them & pay your app fee. The embassy will contact you through email if you need any medicals or not. Once everything goes well you will be asked to submit your passport. Thats all!!!
