Providing an IME Number under the Temporary Public Policy dated October 12, 2022

Hi everyone,

I received an ITA not too long ago, and I need to provide a proof of medical exam in my PR application.

According to the following links:

there is a temporary public policy in place that exempts applicants from completing another IME given certain conditions, all of which I meet.

However, when I did my last medical exam (for context, if it's helpful, it was for a visitor visa), I was told by the MD that I would not get an IME number, and that it would only be shared between the MD and IRCC. I'm thus at a lost at what I should do here.

Should I attach the receipts for my previous medical exam, and leave a note to say that I do not possess such a number, and that IRCC should have it (which if they do, I believe they can trace it through my UCI)? Or should I attempt to schedule a medical exam ASAP?

@Japorized if you don't have any proof IRCC officer will not wait or find it for you using the UCI number. The officer might refuse or ask you to do new medical. In my opinion better to get a new one instead of delays.

You don't have to get another IME number. All you need to do is to show up for an upfront medical exam and get the information sheet. Upload that info sheet and you are good to go. That info sheet may/may not have a IME number.
