I entered Canada more than 5 months ago and got my open work permit soon after that. My open work permit says I MUST LEAVE BY Sep. 2014. Since I didn't apply extension of temporary resident status (permit) at the same time of the work permit, now I am confused by a question: should I leave Canada before the end of 6 months (initially authorized as visitor) and re-enter as work permit holder? Or I can remain in Canada till the date marked on work permit without extension of temporary resident status?
I couldn't find direct answer to my question on the forum, so I'm hoping someone could kindly help!
