Hi I've been trying to do my physical presence calculator for the last week but keeps coming back wrong ie

2014-05-04 to 2014-05-13 = 4.0
2014-08-18 to 2014-08-31= 6.0
2014-11-10 to 2014-11-15= 2.0.

I've tried a couple times and keeps giving different answes
Any help would be muchly appreciated

Pre PR days count as half day hence the strangely calculated duratios. Intervals listed must fall into the period before you became the PR.

Since seems you landed early 2017 these numbers are correct based on the half day per full day rule before becoming a PR. Cannot answer why the numbers appear rounded down so not counting the half in your example that is 4.5, 6.5, 2.5 but unlikely would think to make much difference in the total as long as you eventually can reach the 3 out of 5.

Thanks for the replys. I know they count the days you were in Canada as .5 but these are the days I wasn't in canada which they count as full when missed it's funny as further down my list they count them as full days ie
2018-10-06 to 2018-10-12= 5
. I did the check twice with a different total and put in the same dates

So any time you spend in Canada pre - PR counts as 50%, so the trips away are only taken of at the same rate.

For example, my own count was 1254. This included 365 on a work permit (ie: I maxed out).

When I look at my own dates, ones a 6 day business trip and shows as 2.0; another is an 8 day personal trip showing as 3.5. Not 100% sure on the reason but put the dates in and if you get 1095 you're good to go! It's possibly it's doing something weird when you spent > 2 years in Canada pre PR and so can max out?
