Hi all, I hope this is the right section to post this. I studied in Canada for 2 years and recently received a postgrad work permit. I started my new job today. While submitting the paperwork, the Accounts person at the company told me that I can't claim the basic personal amounts on either the federal or provincial TD1. I want to confirm if this is true. I went through the CRA website, but the more I read the more confusing it gets. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks! ???
