One Year IELTS date validity dilemma - Please Help

Dear Members, My IELTS result will be 1 year old on 24th Jan. I am planning to apply by 10th Jan in FSW class. In case my application goes ahead, I will be given four months for submission of docs.

Question is: Is the 1 year deadline counted from date of initial application to Nova Scotia or in next step when you forward your application to visa office in home country. Do I ever have to retake IELTS during application process?

Same thing for maintenance funds, do I have to show them as of initial application or in next step.

I think the IELTS is valid for 2 years.

For Canadian Immigration purposes, 1 year. As long the IELTS exam was taken within 1 year of the date of application, it remains valid. The OP is applying within that one year window so his/her IELTS will be acceptable.
