I came here on Canada last April 23, 2017 on a visitor visa. I studied short-term (4 months) at Queen's University from May - August 2017 with a scholarship. Afterwards, I requested and was granted visitor visa extension. I also applied and was granted study permit while in Canada on March 2018.
My question is: Do I need to file an income tax if I was on visitor visa from Apr 2017 - Mar 2018? I didn't work at all and I don't have a SIN. I also received a T4A form from Queen's for my scholarship. Is this something I should file?
