Q1 Which of these documents require notarisations
Q2 Which should be originals which should be photocopies

Employment reference
Employment Contracts
BSc Degree
Birth Certificate
Passport
Decree Nisi or Absolut(depending on what one I have in time)
Tax returns(copies from tax office for self employment period)
The 4 Photos

Got till xmas eeeeek getting close contacting notary today. Documents have taken forever

I don' think any lawyer will notaries P60.

BSc degree should be in sealed envelope, attested by University, if your uni is in UK they will do in a day for you, but if its from India or Pak then they will accept notaries copy, at this stage all copies nothing original, you will need to send original passport on later stage.

I got all my documents notaries by Notary Public including P45 & P60 in UK.

Notorising documents is a matter of choice, not obligation. CHC London recently confirmed that to us in an email which saved £££ and a pointless hassle.

Employment reference - Original but no need to notarize
Employment Contracts - Copy but get it attested from your local country consulate office if possible
BSc Degree - Original or Attested coloured copy from the University in their sealed envelope
Birth Certificate - Attested copy from your local country consulate office if possible
Passport - copy while submitting application
Decree Nisi or Absolut(depending on what one I have in time)
Tax returns(copies from tax office for self employment period)
