I landed in January 2015, and I was confused when I was filing online about the question asking if I owned any foreign property. I know that as a newcomer, I don't have to report foreign property for the first year, but should I tick "yes" or "no" to that qestion on the form when I did own more than CAD 100000 in foreign property? Because when I ticked yes, I was asked to fill form T1135, but newcomers are not required to fill out that form, right?
