We're moving to Canada under the IEC program. The plan is to stay and work in Calgary for a few months, and after that buy a car and drive to BC and Yukon (also a few months). Buying and registering a car in Alberta seems straight forward enough, as we are from a country with a reciprocal license exchange agreement.
However, when driving from Calgary to BC and Yukon I have some questions. If I'm correct you can stay in BC for 90 days with the license from Alberta, and 120 days in Yukon. Would this change (with respect to drivers license/insurance) if we were to search jobs in these provinces? And what problems would arise if we don't have a permanent place of residence?
