My scenario is a bit uncommon. I am an Indian passport holder with a student visa. I will be getting my work visa in January 2017. My girlfriend will be traveling to canada with the intent to study in fall 2017. All of this is amazing. Here is the twist, we need to get married before she comes to canada.
So I need to figure out which is better from the following 2 options.
1. We get married after she gets her student visa (student visa in June- july2017 followed by marriage) or
2. We get married in January- February 2017 once I have my work visa, she applies for an open work permit. Then she applies for a student visa. This sounds complicated but this is one scenario where both of us have a certain control over predicting when I need to be in India for the marriage registeration.
Any other suggestions are welcome!
