I have received my ITA in April and I am currently uploading my documents. The major problem I have is with the marriage certificate.
I am Sudanese and I got married in a consulate in Dubai. It is mentioned that marriages in consulates should comply with the law of the host country. However there is no clear description of how to do that. Also, I have heard coupled of stories of applications that were refused because of a marriage certificate that was issued in a consulate.
I have the following options and I need your help in deciding which option to pursue:
1. To use the same marriage certificate that was issued in Sudan consulate in Dubai and to stamp it from host county authorities.
2. To try and get a new marriage certificate issued by the government of Dubai based on the details mentioned in the consulate marriage certificate.
3. To get a new marriage certificate from Sudan and to stamp it from the host country authorities.
