Forget about 6 months or more or less
It has expiry date on it.
You should apply for your work permit before thAt

Depending upon the profession and the employer plus may be other factors that i am not aware of, each LMO could have a different validity date printed on it.

It would AT MAX be six months, rather than at least. In some cases it is 2 - 3 months such as for live in caregivers etc.

Remember, it is important that your APPLICATION REACHES THE CONCERNED EMBASSY before it's expiry. If it expires while your file is being processed at the embassy, that is perfectly fine and you shouldn't worry. But if LMO's expiry date has passed and your application is not yet submitted, even by a margin of a day, you will need a new LMO.
