IRCC has made certain changes in LMIA approved after 1st of May 2024. Now LMIA will be valid for 6 months only, instead of 18 months as provided during Covid period. It means that we have to file for work permit and PR within 6 months of receiving LMIA.
Will this mean that our express entry (CEC) application based on positive LMIA will be rejected if IRCC does not hold draw within next 6 months. In that case one has to start and go through the entire process of LMIA and PR again. It would be very difficult.
