Landing as PR, with kids who already are Canadian citizens?

My CoPR arrived unexpectedly early, just before a planned visit to Vancouver. So, I'd like to land as a PR when I arrive by air on Wednesday. I, a US citizen, will have my two stepkids with me, ages 17 and 19. They are Canada/USA dual citizens by birth.

Should the kids go through customs separately, with their US passports, as we have done in the past? Or should they accompany me through the landing process, with both their US and Canadian passports?

FWIW, my wife (also dual Canada/USA citizen) is not going on the visit. She's staying behind in the US to care for our elderly dog, who had a recent injury.

They should be with you regardless which passport the kids use. Customs aren't that strict with kids. Any officer can process all three of you at the same time even if you had to go separate lines.
