ITA Digital photo specs

Hi,
I have a a few days left before my deadline to submit my application, yet I still cannot figure out how to fix the digital photo that I have. The photographer did not fix the specs for the soft copy that I have. I will have to do it myself.

Here are the requirements:

Document: Digital photo

Frame size
The final frame size of the photo must be at least 35mm x 45mm.
The photographs must show a full front view of the head and tops of shoulders, with the face in the middle of the photograph.
The size of the head, from chin to crown, must be between 31mm and 36mm.
Digital dimensions are often expressed in pixels or DPI (dots per inch). The physical dimensions in pixels must be at least 420 x 540.

Quality/resolution
If an existing photo is being scanned, the minimum resolution must be 600 pixels per inch.

File format
The file may be submitted in JPEG or JPEG2000 format.
The final size of the image should ideally be 240 kB (kilobytes), but not less than
60 kB.
The image must be in colour (24 bits per pixel) in RGB colour space, which is the
common output for most digital cameras.

This is what I've been trying to do:
I have my original (measurements not adjusted) digital photo. Since I have a printed 35mmx45mm printed photo which has the right specs (but does not scan clearly, for some reason), I cropped the digital photo more or less according to the printed photo. And then I resized the cropped photo. However, my questions are:

1- Does the frame size requirement apply to the digital photo as well? Or should I aim at making the digital photo meet only the 420x540 pixels requirement? Note: I tried it both ways. When I use 35 x 45 mm in resizing the image, the file size is bigger than 900 KB, and IRCC says the file says ideally should be 240 kB. So should I just ditch the 35x45 mm requirement when resizing the digital photo?

2- How can I be 100% sure that the headsize is within the specified range (31-36 mm) on my digital photo, after cropping and resizing it?

Any help will be greatly appreciated! I have 2 days left to submit!

Thank you!

Hi, how did u sort it out? I ended up uploading photo and submitting my eApp with my head height above 36mm. I maintained the digital pixel requirements 420×540 as well as the frame dimensions and file size. The only issue is the face height, looks bigger when opened on desktop. Do you think this will affect my application?

applications are rarely rejected because of digital photos. im yet to see any. most frequent rejects are for photos sent for PR cards.
