is Student an occupation?

Discussion in 'Skilled Worker / Professional Immigration' started by rhap33, Feb 15, 2009.

  1. Hi,

I have a simple question, I'm currently studying full-time for a college degree in US. I do have some pevious experience also.

My question is on form IMM 0008, question No. 13, they are asking "Current occupation", can I write down "College Student" or I just write "unemployed" instead. Do you think "Full-time Student" is an occupation?

Please anybody who had the same situation,
    thanks,

  2. I have no experience in this, I would write unemployed or full time student or N/A if you are not counting any part time job that you are doing now for your employment points.

If you are doing part time job and it is counted towards your employment points, i would write that in. So in my case, i wrote teaching assistant.

  3. I think it mentions in the imm form on top that if studying write studying.
