Is a work permit required?

When permanent residency is granted via the Express Entry route as a FSW-outland, do you still need to separately apply for a work permit?

My wife (listed as a dependent on our application) recently got a job offer in Canada:
  1. Would I as the primary applicant automatically be allowed to work in Canada once our application is approved and permanent residence is granted, or would I need to apply for a work permit?
  2. Would my spouse automatically be allowed to work in Canada once our application is approved and permanent residence is granted, or would she need to apply for a work permit?
  3. Would this job offer speed up the application process of our existing express entry application?

Both our professions are NOC category 0 or A, while hers is also listed on the Global Talent Occupations List for Category B. Our AOR date was in December 2018 and is currently at the IP1 stage (i think).

Thank you

Thank you DelPierro07.

Your answer led me to the following pages which confirms which you said (if anyone is interested):
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-card/understand-pr-status.html
https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/sin.html
https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/sin/before-applying.html

I then assume that if she wanted to obtain a work visa, in case our EE PR application experiences delays, that the normal channels would have to be followed which would likely include a requirement for a LMIA. ie. a separate work visa application can't somehow piggy back off our existing EE PR application to follow a simpler process.
