Just wondering where people are landing, who have applied Inland and live in Ottawa? Is it at the border or in town?

Thanks!

Easiest place to do it is at a border. Generally you can't get landing appointments at CIC offices, unless it's exceptional circumstances. So just a question of finding your closest US border and making a day trip there. Alternatively, if you have any international travel planned within the validity period of your COPR you can also land on your way back into Canada at an airport.

For Inland applicants, they aren't able to land at a border crossing since they don't get COPR in the mail. They are required to attend a landing interview to land and receive the COPR.

Unfortunately I don't know what the CIC office is that does landing interviews for Ottawa area.

Ahhhh I did not know that! Thanks for clarifying! I will file that one away. :) Cheers!

Thanks! I'm hoping we don't have to go to the border, but we'll see!

You won't. As I said, ALL inland applicants must land at a local CIC office, together with their sponsor. After you are approved for PR, you will get a notice for the date/location of your landing interview.

There is no option to go to a border even if you wanted to.

Thanks for your response. Hoping some Ottawa applicants will chime in...

Your landing office will be in Ottawa located on 200 Catherine St. Suite 101. K2P 2K9

This is based on those who applied while living in ottawa in my spreadsheet and based on CIC website listing local CIC offices.

Thanks so much for your reply! I just got DM today, and am hoping the landing will come soon.
