Immigration with unsettled debt

I am from Pakistan and applying for PR. I have enough points and have had no problem in obtaining a clean PCC. However, I previously studied abroad on a scholarship from the government which required me to work in Pakistan for two years. After my education, I have not had any contact or update from the scholarship and came to Canada for studies after a year in Pakistan. I am now waiting for an ITA.

Also, in the scholarship contract it is stated that if I do not work in Pakistan I will owe the amount spent on me through a legally enforceable debt, but at the moment there is no collection or anything of the sort. I can pay the amount if needed, but since the scholarship has never contacted me to recover any funds I haven't bothered either.

My question is this, is there anything I should be concerned with? Would background checks bring up anything to worry about? Also if they do decide to pursue the debt, and I am willing to return the amount, can this become anything of concern ?
