If my wife gets admission in some community college, can I get a work permit?

Hi,

Can someone guide, in case my wife gets admission in some community college, can I get a work permit in Canada.
I heard that its not possible in community colleges and only possible in Universities.
Although University fees are much higher than community colleges, what should I do?
