Hi,
Dentist is a regulated profession and you need to get certifications to work in that profession. Search the web to find related web site for more info.

HI,
I was wondering if you found out anything about becoming a dentist in BC? I live here and have a friend in Mexico who would be interested as well, and I want to let her know some information about this. Did you have any luck? Is it a long process? Would you have to go back to school? Even a dental hygienist can make good money here, so I wondered if you would start with that?

thanks if you can reply.

Hello drumbeat:
About your girlfriend in Mexico, to be able to get a licence in Canada she has to take an eligibility examination, if she passes she can take a 2 year program for internationally trained dentists after that she may take the Board Exam. I can tell you the 2 year program is very expensive and not every University has it. So as you can see is not hard but it can be a little frustrating starting by the fact that 1st year is about $24,000 and 2nd year about $35,000.
But not impossible right!!!!
Read the latest news Cohen had in November 30, it seems there could be a light by 2012. Just check it out.

I hope my comment helps you.
