Hi everyone
I just wanted to share this good news with you. I toke my Canadian citizenship test last month (Nov. 2010, I applied in August 2009) and I found that there are no obligatory questions to answer. The test was 20 questions, out of which you have to correctly answer 15 (75%). Few days later I read in the news that the percentage of people who fail the exam have dramatically increased since the new guide Discover Canada was out and this is why CIC is making the test a bit easier with no obligatory part. Also it was the first time that those who failed the test were given a second chance. All of this because it was too much for the judges to handle the cases of those who failed. This will be in effect till the percentage of people passing the exam return to normal (80%). You can read it here: http://www.thestar.com/news/canada/article/897998--more-people-flunking-tougher-canadian-citizenship-tests

Nice. I took the old, easy one but do go to http://www.yourlibrary.ca/citizenship/ and practice with all their questions. I used it before I took the test and I see they have updated the questions now since the new booklet came out.
