Expired PR - PR Renewal in Process - Parcel Pickup Point Roberts

Hello there,

My current PR is expired. Looking at the current processing time, I am not expecting it anytime before end of December 2014.

I have a parcel to be picked up from Point Roberts which is one of the Canada - US borders.

While re-entering Canada, Can I use my "confirmation of Permanent Residence" as a proof that I am a Canadian resident?
