ENTERING WITHOUT RESIDENCY OBLIGATION

Hi,
I became PR in April 2011 and stayed in canada for five days and again i came in april 2014 to meet my residency obligation,but, due to some emergency back home i had to go back to india in july. Will i be allowed to enter canada by air in may 2015 as my pr expires in april 2016?? Thanks.

You *will* be allowed to enter, but you *may* be reported for failing to meet the residency obligation requirements.

It really depends on the mood of your CBSA officer, where mercury is in relation to venus and which side your slippers fell on the floor the night before ....

Which means, nobody can tell you what the odds are. You have to just take a chance and hope you are not reported.

To Micky011,

Just curious, what did the IO told you when you came back in April 2014? since you were out of Canada for more than 730 days. Like you, I was also outside of Canada for almost 4 years but was fortunate enough to be allowed to enter.
