please confirm if the below person is eligible for Canadian citizenship.

Previously Spent 2 years in Canada and renewed pr under his parents sponsorship. Now came to Canada as a PR to study in university and spent 3 years already.

Is he eligible to apply for citizenship?

Just to confirm what @Zmaqsood said: The person is eligible. There seems to be a misconception that employment and things matter for citizenship, but in fact they do not. You just have to live in Canada.

(notwithstanding the special rools for government employees abroad, which probably apply to no one in this forum)
