Hi All -

I am preparing citizenship application and will be submitting by end of Jan 2019. Needed some clarification to complete my application:

1. I have notice of assessment for 2014, 2015 and 2016. I have not filled taxes for 2017 as I only stayed for only 90 days in Canada as well was not employed by Canadian employer. The 5-years for my citizenship application are 2014 - 2018, is it still wise to submit NOA of 2013 as I will not be having for 2018 NOA. Also, application only ask for 3 years of NOA, will mentioning 2014, 2015 and 2016 in Q12 enough?

2.Citizenship For Q10b - in past 5 yrs I stayed in US for more than 183 days and got my police clearance done in 2017 as I was Canada for 2018. As the police clearance report is 2017 Dec dated. Is it acceptable and was thinking of explaining same in my application cover letter.

3. Citizenship Form Q13 - I am having H4 visa of US. Do I need to mention this and along my country of birth?

4. Documents needed for application - All passport pages, health card photocopy as ID, birth certificate, PR landing document, PR card, NOA 2014-16, police clearance report from US and Canada, application fees receipt. Please add any document which is needed and I missed?

5. Also, I stayed in Brampton ON during my stay period. To get my citizenship application processed faster, is there any other centre where I should submit my application.

Thanks for all the feedback.

1- You do not need to submit NOAs with your application. Please, see this post regarding tax requirements: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/dont-have-tax-details-for-2018-shall-i-submit-application-without-it.607324/

2- You have to get a recent police clearance, 2017 was 2 year ago!

3- I would say yes, include that along with the country of birth.

4- You do not need copies of all passport pages, only copies of biographical pages (the initial ones, with your personal information). You do not need to submit a birth certificate, as per the checklist. You do not need to submit a copy of your PR landing document, as per the checklist. Yo do not need to submit Notices of Assessment, as per the checklist. You need your current police report from any country in which you were for more than 183 days, but not Canada- you need a recent one from the US. You need to submit proof of English as well, which you did not mention here. You also need to submit your signed Physical Presence Calculator, and your application form.

5- IRCC will direct your application to the VO closest to where you live, you cannot choose where it is going.

It seems to me you did not read the guides or the checklist, I would strongly advise that you do so prior to sending your application. Please, look thoroughly through the links below, especially the last one, the GUIDE to filling out and completing your application.

Will it be OK to submit my application with the police clearance certificate I have in hand as it covers the time I have stayed with explanation or my application will be returned?
