Do I need a work permit if i move to Canada with my parents?

Hello,

I am moving to Canada with my parents as my dad is being sponsored by a company to go out and work for them.. Do I need to apply for a work permit/visa before I go to Canada or am I able to work there without a visa as I am moving with my parents. Someone please help, I am confused and impatient and just can't wait to get to Canada.

If your dad is authorized to work in Canada, his accompanying family members may also be able to work in Canada by virtue of the permit he were issued. No other authorization is required. If they intend to work while in Canada, his accompanying family members should find out if they are eligible for an “open” work permit.
