CAQ received with a validity of only 1 year but the study program is for ~2y

As the title says, I got acceptance by the University of Montreal and immediately applied for CAQ. The program starts in Fall23 and ends in ( approx ) Fall25 but I received my CAQ valid till only July 2024. I have raised a request with MiFi but it has already been ~13 days and no reply from them. My question to the community is:

1. Would they amend the dates? Is it possible?
2. What are the wait times for this (If anybody is in the same boat)?

It says that you must submit a new application for temporary selection for studies if you are in one of the following situations:

• Your studies continue after the end date of your Québec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ);
• You change level of studies;
• You are postponing the start of your study program by more than one semester.
