Hello,

I am a PR in canada working in Windsor. I am getting married and was planning to live in Detroit, MI after marraige. However, I would be on H4 status in US, and will be crossing the border everyday for my job (Windsor-Detroit).
If I maintain my residential address here, with all the banking, driver's license etc details under that address, but live most of the time with my husband in US, can I use that time to count for my citizenship ?

For PR residency requirements they have a definition of a "day" as "a day includes a full day or any part of a day that a permanent resident is physically present in Canada" which would mean that if you were to work 5 days a week and stay in the US on the weekends, you would have 260 days a year in Canada and would easily meet the PR residency requirements (730 days in 5 years). The question is if they use the same definition for citizenship residency requirements.
