Canadian Citizens Spouse PR Status

I am currently a Canadian Citizen, and my spouse has a PR, if we leave the country and move back after 3 years due to my personal obligations, will my spouses face any difficulties in renewing their PR as they won't be able to complete their 2 out of 5 years and their current PR will expire.

No issue. Also no obligation to return to Canada unless you want to apply for citizenship and need to meet the 3 years out of 5 year residency period. You can maintain your PR status while remaining abroad.
