Wondering if someone can share their experience. My husband is a PR and needs a travel document to go back this fall as his PRC has expired. The Beijing Embassy website says "5 working days" required for initial response, but it's been nearly 2 months now and no response at all.
My guess is that they've pushed us to the back of the queue as his trip is not until September, but we need to go elsewhere next month (July) and we need our passports! I am a Canadian citizen and my passport is in there as a supporting document. I know I know I shouldn't have given the true travel date, but the travel document gives entry within 2 specified months only, so if they gave us July-Aug it would have been useless. So I gave mid-Sept...
What are my options other than waiting it out... ? I am wondering if ..
1) I can get my passport out of there without canceling his application, or
2) How I can go about canceling my application? How long would this take? Anyone tried?
I am going insane!
