I applied for a visitor visa on September 9th, 2023, and I currently hold a valid study permit until July 31st, 2024. I'm on a visit to my family in Jordan. The processing time in Jordan for a visitor visa is 90 days, and I will be on that time on December 2nd, 2023.
My status has changed (on my tracker account) to Eligibility "Completed" and Background Verification "In progress" on November 4th, 2023. Until now today (Nov. 23rd, 2023) that hasn't changed.
I am worried if they might refuse the visa, but I know my background isn't questionable. So why the delay? And is there a chance they will refuse it? Did I apply for the right visa type? Or should I have applied for a study visa (through study permit option)?
It would be appreciated if I could get some clearance on my status.
